The visible part of the spectrum is more subject to bad seeing condition and this should improve the image. Unfortunately I didn&#8217;t try this filter with the x5 Televue and I subsequently rejected all of these videos. I found that the images with the IR pass filter were probably\u00a0better although the gain of the camera had to turned up significantly more to maintain the 60 fps rate. What seemed to help in the final processing was if the real-time noise reduction was used with the DMK IC Capture software. I intend to try again with a set of colour filters before Jupiter moves too far from opposition. There was a bit of hazy cloud around and the image was jumping around badly with the Televue x5.<br \/>\nImage below: DMK mono camera with AG12 (1150 cms focal length) and x2.5 Televue, IR pass filter with each 8 frames combined for noise reduction at time of capture. Aligned and stacked in AutoStakkert; wavelets applied in Registax 6. The moons are (moving out from the planet), Europa, Io, Callisto and Ganymede (you may need to turn up your monitor brightness to see them).<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_380\" style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cantabsoftware.co.uk\/astrodb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/JIR8_NoiseRed8_g3_ap32_convRSWav.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-380\" class=\"wp-image-380 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cantabsoftware.co.uk\/astrodb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/JIR8_NoiseRed8_g3_ap32_convRSWav.jpg\" alt=\"IR Pass Filter. 8 frames NR.
