It is about 8,500 light years away, about 25&#8242; of arc long and shines around magnitude 7.2.<br>The image below was constructed from 35 subframes of 240s each. Equipment used was a Skywatcher Quattro150P scope with an aplanatic coma corrector. The scope is natively F4 but works at F3.45 with the coma corrector. Processed in PixInsight. Images taken on 25-10-25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cantabsoftware.co.uk\/astrodb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/NGC7380_Wizard_Nebula_WorkFlow251108A.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"4136\" height=\"2817\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cantabsoftware.co.uk\/astrodb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/NGC7380_Wizard_Nebula_WorkFlow251108A.jpg\" alt=\"NGC7380\" class=\"wp-image-611\"\/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">NGC7380<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On 23-11-25 a further 36 images were taken, also at 240s exposures using the same equipment.
